Missouri Rush’s New Home Becomes Reality
Missouri Rush is thrilled to announce that we are moving! Last year, our coaches (along with the majority of our members through our end of year survey) tasked us with acquiring our own all-turf facility. Hearing that, president Mike Soots immediately went to work setting up meetings with developers, current facility owners, and O'Fallon city officials. Through his efforts and hard work, we can now say we have achieved our goal of having an all-turf facility where Rush can call home.
So where is this new facility going to be located? For those of you who are familiar with St. Charles County, Missouri Rush Sports Park will be located in the city of O'Fallon off of highway 40 at the Winghaven exit in front of the Regal O’Fallon Stadium 14 movie theater. For anyone that is not familiar with this location, it is approximately eight minutes from Chesterfield Valley, twelve minutes from Wentzville, and sixteen minutes from St. Peter’s.
The facility will consist of four all-weather lit turf fields, a clubhouse, sand volleyball courts along with a sports themed restaurant with a rooftop balcony overlooking the fields. Construction will begin in the coming weeks and field completion is set for fall of this year. “It is a monumental addition to our already remarkable offerings at Rush” says Nick Teater, Missouri Rush’s executive director. He also adds “This park will provide our teams an all weather training facility as part of our club fee, which will remain one of the most affordable”. The facility will also host games, tournaments, camps, and other events throughout the year.
Renderings of the Park:
Through months and months of planning the park finally broke ground with grading machines moving dirt for which will become 4 brand new all weather turf fields. As you can see in the pictures below, the park is moving along. Phase I will be the fields. Phase II will include the clubhouse building and other amenities.
