Missouri Rush Attends US Club's Regional Tournament

The 2003 girls STL, 2002 girls STL and the 2002 girls United teams all attended the Midwest National Cup (US Club's regional event) the weekend of June 23-25th. The three teams showed very well with a combined record of 6-1-2 in pool play scoring 25 goals and giving up just 5. The 2003 and the 2002 STL teams advanced to the finals while the 2002 United team missed the finals through the goal differential tie breaker.

In the finals, the 2003 team fell to Libertyville 4-2 while the 2002's advanced to Nationals with a late 1-0 win. The 2002's will now head to Indiana to face the winners from the other regions in July. Good Luck Girls!!!

STORY UPDATE (July 24th) The 2002 girls attended the finals weekend in Westfield Indiana at the amazing Grand Park complex. The girls played hard all weekend. Their opening game they tied 3-3 against Northern Steel Storm. The next day their efforts came up short (2-1 loss) against Lonestar Red who ended up claiming the championship title against FC Boulder Elite who the girls faced on Sunday for game three and fell 1-0. The soccer that was played at this event was exceptional. Every team played the ball out of the backfield and tried relentlessly to actually play the game how it is meant to be played. It was nice to see that style of play all weekend.
